About

Hello and welcome to my personal blog [1].

I bought my first Mac in 1991 and since then I’ve acted as a Mac evangelist among my family and friends. More than three quarters of my friends and all my family now use Apple products.

I don’t pay my bills with this blog, it’s really just a beautiful hobby. Of course I enjoy when I see my page views go up but I like that to happen only when there’s real value behind my posts. I like to think that my readers can find answers and solution to their questions by reading my posts. Also, I feel that if a blog is about Apple, it should not talk about anything else.

A bit about the name that I’ve chosen for this blog:

Mac:

The Macintosh (pronounced /?mæk?nt??/ MAK-in-tosh), or Mac, is a series of several lines of personal computers designed, developed, and marketed by Apple Inc. The first Macintosh was introduced on January 24, 1984; it was the first commercially successful personal computer to feature a mouse and a graphical user interface rather than a command-line interface (from Wikipedia).

-graphy:

The English suffix -graphy means either “writing” or a “field of study”, and is an anglicization of the French -graphie inherited from the Latin -graphia, which is a transliterated direct borrowing from Greek (from Wikipedia).
