It happened to all of us to delete an app before syncing the iPhone with iTunes right? Well maybe not, but still you never know that it could happen to you.
So, you've just bought your EUR 3.99 app from the iPhone app store, played a bit with it and decided that you don't like it.
You tap and hold on the app and delete it. Gone!
The moment you tap on Delete you already sense that maybe - only maybe - that app could become useful in the future or that maybe version 1.1 won't crash...
Is the app gone forever if in a scenario like this you have not synced the iPhone with iTunes between the purchase and removal of the app?
Well, there is a solution for that. All you need to do is this:
- Open iTunes
- Log into your account with the same username that you used to purchase the deleted app
- Find the app
- Click on the Buy button
- iTunes (thank you for being so smart!) will warn you that you have already purchased that app
- Click ok
- Sync the iPhone with iTunes to get the app back on your device
This solution is also described in detail in a well written Apple KB article.
